Baingan Bharta, Aloo Gobi & Tadka Dhal

This month’s meal kit features three popular North Indian dishes, perfect for the cold weather. A repeat from 2024, it includes Baingan Bharta (eggplant), Tadka Dhal (lentils), and Aloo Gobi (potato & cauliflower). Enjoy Baingan Bharta with rice (included) or Indian bread (not included), or as a dip with chips (not included). Tadka Dhal pairs with rice or roti, while Aloo Gobi bursts with flavor. For a complete meal, we recommend adding yogurt, available as an optional add-on.

What you’ll need from your kitchen to cook:

Ingredients: Vegetable oil/butter/ghee, salt, chips/bread.
Equipment: Oven & oven mitt, aluminum foil lined baking sheet, 1 large skillet with lid (2 if available), cooking spoons,/ladle/spatulas, 2 serving dishes + spoons, 3 small pots, fork, cutting board/knife, measuring cups/spoons, tongs, timer, measuring cups + spoons & 3+ bowls for prepped vegetables.

You will be asked to pick your preferred location at check out.

We will send you an email on March 25th (day before pickup) with a reminder & confirmation of your time/place for pick up on March 26th!

• Coop alternate pickup location (pickup between 4:30-5:30 pm) - 7113 Reynolds Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15208 (tented patio at the corner of Reynolds Street & Le Roi Road or come inside during cold weather).

• Kholis Indian Imports (pickup between 6:00-6:45 pm) - 319 S Craig St, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.

• Chatham University Eden Hall Campus (pickup between 5:30-6:30 pm), 6035 Ridge Road, Gibsonia, PA, 15044.

• South Hills - Please select South Hills from the dropdown menu and we will contact you to regarding the pickup location in the South Hills.

Home Delivery:
We offer home delivery! If you choose this option, we will send a confirmation email of your estimated delivery time. Please only sign up for Home Delivery if your address is within the following neighborhoods: Point Breeze, Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, Regent Square, Wilkinsburg, East Liberty, Larimer, Homewood, Highland Park & Morningside. If you are outside this zone, we may need to shift you to a pickup location. Home Delivery for this kit is offered at an additional price of $5.

Dietary and Allergy Info:
This meal kit is vegan (without yogurt) and gluten free!  However, you can purchase yogurt as an add-on on the next page. As always, you will be asked about any dietary restrictions or allergies at checkout.
