PREPARING CHAI FOR TWO

INSTRUCTIONS

Our Chai Masala blend does not contain any tea. We suggest using black tea.

We recommend adding a 3-inch piece of fresh ginger (approx 14g)

Making Masala Chai (note: Chai means tea and masala means mixture of spices in Hindi) - 2 cups/mugs

  1. Clean ginger. Grate or smash.

  2. Add ginger, 1 tsp chai masala and 2 ½ cups/mugs water to saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil.

  3. Lower to medium heat. At this point, you can add milk, sugar/honey and boil for 2 min. But it is optional.

  4. Add 2 tsp black tea and boil for 1 min.

  5. Strain into cups and enjoy!

NOTES

  • For a single cup of chai, use half the above quantities.

  • We recommend Assam tea (strong).

  • Substitute 2 tsp tea leaves with 2 tea bags.

  • Milk, sugar/honey can be added after step 5, if skipped in step 3.
